The current number of flights provided is as follows: Air Canada Express three flights daily. Bearskin Airlines 3 flights daily Sunday and Monday, 4 flights daily Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 5 flights Wednesday, with one of the Monday and Tuesday flights via Dash8 aircraft. Porter has two daily flights Sunday to Friday and 1 flight Saturday. Additionally, WestJet Airlines will begin twice weekly service direct non-stop to Calgary on June 12th for the summer season.
Terry Bos, President & CEO of the SSMADC noted: “With the increased level of seat capacity in the market due to Bearskin introducing Dash8 service twice a week in January and now Air Canada increasing to three flights daily in May, the passenger growth is starting to return due to the increased capacity and flight options, this should be aided again in June with WestJet twice weekly service beginning.”
