Air Canada and CUPE have reached a mediated settlement as of August 19, 08:30 EDT. Flights will gradually resume this evening and over the coming days. Travellers are advised not to proceed to the airport unless they have a confirmed itinerary.

Air Canada has reached a tentative agreement with CUPE, the union representing its flight attendants. As a result, operations will gradually restart today.

Air Canada strike hits flights, northern airports mostly unaffected

Air Canada flight attendants have issued a 72-hour strike notice.
This does not affect Air Canada Express (operated by Jazz) flights to/from Sault Ste. Marie Airport. All scheduled flights will continue to operate.
