Celebrating Airport Workers Day at the Sault Ste. Marie Airport!
Today we proudly celebrated #AirportWorkersDay—a chance to honour the incredible people who keep our airport moving, both behind the scenes and on the front lines.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all airport workers—from baggage handlers, fuelers, CSAs, CATSA screeners, and maintenance crews to cleaners, operations staff, flight instructors, AMEs, airside crews, baggage handlers and more. Every role matters and contributes to the safe and seamless travel experience we provide.
We were thrilled to be joined by tenants and partners including Sault College, JD Aero, the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR), Humphrey Aircraft Services and others who make up the fabric of the Sault Ste. Marie Airport community.
Special thanks to MPP Chris Scott for attending our Airport Workers Day event, touring the facilities, helping present the awards, and taking the time to hear firsthand how the province can better support regional airports. Investing in existing infrastructure like airports is key to improving air connectivity in Northern Ontario and ensuring communities remain accessible, resilient, and economically viable.
And a big shoutout to Hogan's Homestead Cafe for hosting an incredible BBQ lunch—great food and a great way to bring everyone together.
Congratulations to this year’s Airport Workers Day Award Winners!!
