Memorable edition of Bushplane Days comes to a close
It's hard to imagine a more successful weekend at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre than this one.
The Sault was treated to an unforgettable edition of Bushplane Days thanks to a captivating lineup of events that drew thousands of locals to the museum and various viewing sites across town.
Residents came out in droves and lined the St. Marys River for a stunning showcase by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds on Saturday. The military’s air demonstration team provided aerial tricks and formations on both sides of the border for nearly 30 minutes.

The Snowbirds were joined by a special guest: Sault Ste. Marie’s very own Major Dion Marson — call sign "Gottem" — who roared through the skies for a pair of high-speed passes in a CF-18 fighter jet.

Back at the museum, attendees had the chance to meet Marson and the Snowbirds during a meet-and-greet. They signed autographs and took pictures with some local fans.
A wide assortment of airplane-themed activities and exhibits, as well as food and refreshments, were also enjoyed by many throughout the weekend.
