The Sault Ste. Marie Airport was proud to welcome MPP Chris Scott and the Honourable George Pirie, Minister of Northern Development and Minister of Economic Development and Growth, for an exciting funding announcement.
We’re thrilled to share that the Sault Ste. Marie Airport Development Corporation (SSMADC) has received $1 million in provincial funding in support of the recently completed 11,250 square foot storage facility. This state-of-the-art facility houses aircraft maintenance equipment for JD Aero, strengthening our local aviation industry and supporting long-term economic development in the region.
This investment highlights the Ontario government’s continued commitment to growing Northern Ontario’s infrastructure and fostering innovation in aviation.
