The current number of flights provided is as follows: Air Canada Express two flights daily. Bearskin Airlines 3 flights daily Sunday and Monday, 4 flights daily Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 5 flights Wednesday. Porter has two daily flights Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday and 1 flight daily on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Terry Bos, President and CEO of the SSMADC noted: “Certainly this winter has been tough both on the operation overall and passenger levels, however, the SSMADC is excited to look ahead to what the summer holds. Summer 2026 should have seat capacity levels back to pre-2020 levels. As previously announced Bearskin Airlines has started to use Dash8-100 aircraft on one of it’s daily flights Monday and Tuesday. The most recent announcement of WestJet returning to Sault Ste. Marie with two weekly flights direct to Calgary from June 12th to September 11th, 2026. Additionally, Air Canada is increasing Sault Ste. Marie service to three times daily on their summer schedule May thru October. Porter Airlines continues with service to Toronto Island twice daily.”
